The Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (IBLCDA), Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, has fulfilled his pledge of a brand new bus to the Association of Commodity Women and Men of Nigeria, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA Chapter.
The bus was presented during the Market Women and Men’s Day of the ongoing 10th coronation anniversary of His Royal Majesty, Oba (Barr.) Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, on Thursday.
Aroyewun, made the pledge to the market association during his campaign exercise for the chairmanship position last year.
”When I was contesting, all marketers stood by me, as their son and ensured that I emerged as the chairman, with their prayers.”
”It was at that time that I said if I emerged as the chairman that I would give the market association in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, a bus so as to ease their movement around.
In the name of Kabiyesi and the chiefs, I want to give the market association this brand-new bus, ” Omo’ba Aroyewun said when presenting the bus.
The gesture was commemded by the Iyaloja – General of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Chief (Mrs) Ashake Wahab, who received the bus on behalf of the market association.
